Frustrating and Time-Consuming Claims Process

My recent experience with this travel insurance company has been extremely disappointing. My original flight was delayed, causing me to miss my connection and leaving me stranded in Istanbul for nearly 24 hours. While the airline provided a hotel and transport, I attempted to file a claim for the significant inconvenience of the delay itself, including the loss of a day of annual leave.
​The claims process has been an absolute nightmare. The company's response time is glacial, and they operate a constant 'moving goalpost' system, requesting a different piece of information, usually requiring me to contact the airline with every communication.
​After one month, my claim remains unresolved and stuck in this endless cycle of requests. The administrative effort and time ("work") required to simply pursue the claim have honestly exceeded the modest compensation I would receive. This process feels intentionally designed to be so arduous and frustrating that the customer simply gives up.
​I purchased travel insurance for peace of mind, believing I was entitled to fair compensation for my loss of time. Instead, I'm left feeling that the policy is essentially worthless due to the unworkable and draining claims procedure. Still not resolved.

WORST TRAVEL INSURANCE!!

WORST TRAVEL INSURANCE!!!

They said Medical Expenses are covered in Policy Wording which I read every single details. Came back with food poisoning and now they said under Benefits Schedule (the general page) it is not covered (and I seek doctor within 48hours). Never met an insurance company that does not cover basic medical consultation upon returning to home!

A Hard Lesson About Insurance
I bought this travel insurance expecting peace of mind—but what I got was chaos and disappointment. My nephew, visiting for just 10 days, developed fever and cold-like symptoms. We contacted the insurance company hoping to get him proper care.

They sent us to a tiny clinic in Florida that couldn’t even run basic blood tests. The doctor guessed it might be dengue—but without lab work, it couldn't be confirmed. So we got a referral to a hospital…and that’s where things got even worse.

Suddenly, the insurance said we had to pay out of pocket first, and they’d “evaluate later” if they’d cover the costs. That’s not protection—that’s abandonment. ER visits in the U.S. easily cost $1,000+. Why offer coverage if you vanish when it’s needed most?

This company left us to handle everything alone. Don’t make the same mistake.

Compré este seguro de viaje esperando tranquilidad, pero lo que obtuve fue caos y decepción. Mi sobrino vino de visita por solo 10 días y desarrolló síntomas similares a un resfriado con fiebre persistente. Contactamos a la compañía de seguros esperando que recibiera atención adecuada.

Nos enviaron a una pequeña clínica en Florida que ni siquiera podía realizar análisis de sangre básicos. El médico dijo que podría tratarse de dengue, pero sin exámenes de laboratorio no se podía confirmar. Así que nos dieron una referencia para ir al hospital… y ahí las cosas empeoraron.

De pronto, el seguro dijo que teníamos que pagar de nuestro bolsillo primero, y que “evaluarían después” si cubrirían los costos. Eso no es protección, es abandono. Una visita a urgencias en EE. UU. fácilmente cuesta más de $1,000. ¿Para qué ofrecen cobertura si desaparecen justo cuando más se necesita?

Esta compañía nos dejó solos. No cometan el mismo error.

Can't Believe...

I can't believe that I trusted their service. Now it's just hassle and never respond email cycle. Should view trust pilot before finalized but now it's all on me.

Excellence in travel insurance services

I booked my trip with chubb in December. Due to unforeseen events we had to cancel our trip. Our claim was for travel expenses and it was handled very professionally and we received our travel expenses reimbursement within 2 weeks. I don't understand why some people are writing negative reviews, we had no problem communicating with them, they responded to emails the same day. We gladly recommend.

Scam! Scam! Scam!!

This is just a huge scam! Lies to customers especially paying for Revolut cards, pay this at your own risks! They don’t respond to emails, phone calls you hold, and eventually don’t compensate, my flight cancellation due to technical or operational problems does not apply for any compensation!! My question is what reasons do they accepted for their claims!
Because we pay insurance for the cover of inconveniences caused by cancellation or delayed flights??
This insurance should never be in market!!!
Financial ombudsman should investigate this!!

Dreadful company. Horrible experience.

I've got an insurance claim with them for over 4 months now? They don't reply to emails, they don't give me any information.

The last thing they said.

Claim is "under final review".

For how long?

Horrible experience, not recommended at all.

Avoid like the plague.

A scam

A scam, don't use these people, they just keep making up paperwork to make everything a hassle, probably in the hopes that eventually they come up with something you don't have.
I claimed travel insurance as my grandma passed away, and they now want to talk to her doctor to confirm she had no pre-existing conditions...EVERYONE OF 80+ HAS PREEXISTING CONDITIONS, and I'm not claiming health insurance here, I provided a death certificate. Do they think I booked holiday knowing my grandma was about to die so I could claim the money for a hotel I never got to and two flights?

cebu pacific have chubb insurrance when buying insurrance through theire plane ticket!!.Cebu Pacific luggage crew made a huge hole on my luggage and broke the handel.Been ask to use my insurrance and i did....got only 1000peso..cheap greedy insurrance Company never again i Will use that insurrance again!!destroy my luggage and now i need to buy new luggage again!!!

I would rate them less than a one star …Horrible! they will not issue a claim even in extreme circumstances, this is a scam do not use it, use other insurance with ticket purchases, after sending tons of documentation they will always deny it! Not helpful, do not plan on getting a refund and I will pass on this information as much as I can, trust the 90 percent bad reviews

Lost a simple Item

Lost a simple Item, my Prescription Glasses.. here I am 5 months later & my claim is still being assessed. They do not reply to email’s & customer service just reads what’s on screen without escalating my claim, just reiterate what I already know. Useless. Do not use.

Cancelled flights not reimbursed

I had a canceled flight, and the airline did not refunded the money. The claim went on for a lomg time without any success. They are useless and they won’t pay anything covered in the policy.
I DO NOT RECOMMEND CHUBB TRAVEL INSURANCE.
